Being my family church, it was a privilege to speak to the congregation about my charity and teach others about another culture.  I received some great feedback and support on the day and the next few weeks the church will be collecting funds for my next trip.  If you have a church that would be interested in hearing my story, let me know.

bake sale

June 2012 - On 28 June 2012 I was a week away from leaving for Vietnam and I needed another $200 to reach my goal. My colleagues at PwC suggested we put on a bake sale for the office so we got to work finding volunteer bakers amongst the team! On the day we set to work transforming the office into a Vietnamese bakery. We decorated with heaps of Vietnamese flags and photos of the orphans I was going to help.  It was a huge success and after a few wagers we were all astounded that our coins added up to over $450!
